How should I study for a biology exam that covers many chapters?

My next biology exam covers a lot of material, including cells, enzymes, genetics, DNA, and human body systems. I have lecture notes and slides, but I feel overwhelmed because everything seems important. How should I organize my study time so I’m not just rereading notes? Should I make flashcards, draw diagrams, practice questions, or summarize each chapter? I need a realistic study plan for a big exam.

How do I know which physics formula to use in word problems?

When I solve physics problems, I usually understand the topic after watching examples, but I get stuck when I have to choose the formula myself. Sometimes the question gives velocity, acceleration, mass, force, time, or distance, and I don’t know whether to use kinematics, Newton’s laws, energy, or momentum. What clues should I look for in the wording of the problem? Is there a good step-by-step method for deciding which equation fits?

Calculus IUnanswered

Why does the derivative become zero at a maximum or minimum point?

I understand that the derivative tells us the slope of a function, but I’m still confused about why the derivative is usually zero at a local maximum or minimum. For example, if a graph goes up and then starts going down, why does the slope have to “pause” at zero in the middle? I would really appreciate an explanation using a simple graph, real-life example, or step-by-step reasoning.
