Terms of Service

Chadashiel is an AI academic platform built for students. The Services may include practice tools, weakness tracking, scheduling, research help, code review, career tools, peer tutoring, study groups, certifications, forums, and connected integrations such as Google Workspace.

Chadashiel is a paid platform. Access to the Services, or certain features, requires a subscription or other purchase unless we explicitly state otherwise for a specific promotion, trial, or waitlist offer. Current pricing is shown at signup, checkout, or on our pricing page.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will use reasonable efforts to provide notice of material changes that affect paid access.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Services, unless a higher age is required where you live.

If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and agrees to them on your behalf, including any paid subscription.

The Services are intended for students. You may not use the Services if you are barred from doing so under applicable law.

When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information
• Keep your login credentials confidential
• Take responsibility for activity under your account
• Notify us promptly of unauthorized access

You may not share account access, sell accounts, or attempt to access another user's account without permission.

Paid access. Chadashiel requires payment for access to the platform or specific plans, unless we offer a limited trial or promotional access in writing.

• Pricing: Prices, billing intervals, and included features are shown before you purchase. We may offer student or waitlist pricing from time to time.
• Billing: Subscriptions may renew automatically until canceled, according to the terms shown at checkout.
• Payment processing: Payments are handled by third-party processors. You authorize us and our processor to charge your selected payment method.
• Taxes: Prices may exclude applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout where required.
• Failed payments: If payment fails, we may suspend or downgrade access until payment is resolved.
• Refunds: Except where required by law or explicitly stated at purchase, fees are non-refundable. Promotional or trial terms may have separate refund rules.
• Cancellations: You may cancel according to the instructions in your account or checkout flow. Cancellation stops future billing but may not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period unless stated otherwise.

If you believe you were charged in error, contact support@chadashiel.org within a reasonable time.

You agree not to use the Services to:

• Violate any law or another person's rights
• Harass, bully, threaten, stalk, or discriminate against others
• Post hateful, sexually explicit, violent, or abusive content
• Spam, phish, scrape, or distribute malware
• Bypass security, rate limits, or access controls
• Impersonate another person or organization
• Use the platform for cheating, credential fraud, or academic dishonesty
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Services except as allowed by law

We may remove content, restrict features, or suspend accounts for violations.

You may submit or upload content such as messages, files, quiz responses, profile information, tutoring materials, and AI prompts (“User Content”).

You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Chadashiel a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and use User Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Services.

You are responsible for User Content and must have the rights to submit it. Do not upload copyrighted, confidential, or personal information about others without permission.

Chadashiel uses artificial intelligence to generate explanations, study plans, research drafts, code feedback, and other outputs.

• AI outputs may be incorrect, incomplete, or outdated
• AI features are learning tools, not substitutes for teachers, counselors, or professionals
• You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them for coursework or decisions
• You must not use AI features to cheat, misrepresent authorship where prohibited, or violate school or exam rules
• We may use your interactions to personalize features and improve the Services, as described in our Privacy Policy

The Services may include peer tutoring, study groups, forums, leaderboards, certifications, and competitions.

• Peer tutoring: Tutors and students must interact respectfully. We do not guarantee tutor availability, quality, or outcomes.
• Community features: Content you post in groups or forums may be visible to other users according to the feature.
• Assessments: Quizzes, certifications, and auto-graded results are provided for learning and platform use. They are not official academic credentials unless explicitly stated.
• Competitions: Separate competition rules may apply where posted. If competition terms conflict with these Terms for a competition-specific matter, the competition terms control for that event.

You may choose to connect third-party services such as Google Calendar, Docs, or Sheets. Your use of those services is governed by their terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for third-party outages, data loss, or policy changes. You can disconnect integrations from your account settings.

Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using the Services, you consent to our data practices as described there.

Chadashiel and its logos, design, software, and platform content are owned by Chadashiel Education or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to access and use the Services for your own educational use while your subscription or access is active and in compliance with these Terms.

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, specific academic outcomes, exam scores, admissions results, or job placement.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CHADASHIEL EDUCATION AND ITS TEAM WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, GOODWILL, OR LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) USD $100, UNLESS YOUR LOCAL LAW REQUIRES OTHERWISE.

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, fail to pay, create security or legal risk, or harm other users.

Upon termination, your right to use the Services ends. Sections that by nature should survive termination will survive, including payment obligations, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice where appropriate.

Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Except where prohibited by law, disputes arising from these Terms or the Services will be brought in the courts located in Louisiana, United States.
